His family's naming conventions intrigued her. They were similar to the Redhawks' traditions, though still quite different. Her brow furrowed curiously when he mentioned going looking for a name. She wondered what that entailed, exactly. His surname rolled off his tongue like the soft hiss of a snake. She immediately liked its exotic flavor, as well as its meaning. She wondered what it meant to be a soul warrior in particular.

Before she could ask about all of the above, Jace told her that he'd fallen in love at the ripe old age of one. She licked her lips and bobbed her head. "I guess maybe I'm not that young. I do get my adult rank in a couple of days. But I still feel young, you know? Although..." She trailed off a little bashfully, then grinned at herself. She wasn't normally shy when it came to Floki. "I guess I'm sort of involved with someone. We're just not mates... yet." She guessed it was a definite possibility, though she was in no rush. All the same, the thought put a warm stitch in her chest.
