Phoenix Maplewood disconnect and self-destruct

Sitiyok made no attempt to mask his approach to the distant fringe of the borders. The scent of the woodland wolves was nearly overpowering, even this far out, so he knew better than to slink around in the undergrowth like a snake. He carried with him a rib of an elk snapped off a bear kill. It was mostly clean, save for a rich bit of meat and gristle at the base; perfect for children, or elder wolves in need of sustenance. A smile kissed his lips, only for a moment, before fading again into obscurity. He wondered what he would encounter here; if the merit of these wolves would be worth the warnings on the border.
