Sleeping Dragon i held ghosts in my arms

With the pups' arrival came a new sense of purpose, not only for the Dróttning but all the members of Sleeping Dragon, Wildfire included. Taking advantage of the slight resurgence of small prey, the Trapper took to felling as many woodland creatures as she could manage. She ate one of every few kills to keep herself fueled but otherwise gathered the carcasses and delivered them near to the Viking Queen's den for quick and easy pickup. She didn't often linger, always making her delivery then swiftly returning to the game trail.

She was just headed to the whelping den with a lean rabbit dangling from her jaws when she crossed paths with Dio, clearly headed in the same direction with the same purpose. Wildfire eyed his rabbit and smiled around her own, laughing inwardly at their paltry but clearly heartfelt gifts. She fell into step beside him, pondering whether this would be her final run for the evening or whether she should make one last effort before calling it a night and fetching some rest.
