Though his eyes were not the best, he saw signs of her fight-or-flight response kicking in already. It looked like she was leaning toward flight, but you could never be too sure with women. Day kept his distance, but did not move away from the fire-cat-snake - if she didn't want it, he would certainly still be bringing it to Adeline no matter how offensive she found it.
