Aniu turned towards her friend, good ear pricking towards Silent as she laughed. The noise wasn't quiet the same as a regular laugh, it was guttural and thick. Aniu wasn't sure how Silent always did it. The world was auditory but she lived in a visual one. Aniu herself was stuck somewhere in the middle between a dark and silent place and being completely normal.

Allowing the wolfdog to help her up, Aniu stood and shook most of the mud from her agouti fur. "Let's just get out of this place," her voice was exasperated as she began to lead Silent away once more.
