Xan had made one wrong move right after the other, and no amount of backpedaling seemed capable of fixing everything. It was something that he seemed to be the actual best at—messing things up. It wasn't ever intentional, not entirely, and there were moments in which he wanted to change himself. Yet, doing so was not so easily done, and so he'd always end up falling right back into the same, endless loop that always resulted in him getting into trouble with someone.
