Whitefish River capsize

There must've been someting in the air; Day had seen more women on this journey than he'd probably seen in a year. Well, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it sure felt that way. This one, at least, did not appear to have anything wrong with her - nor did any siren-scent lure him to her side. Still, though - he was there, she was there... well, it just seemed prudent to go and say hello. She was awfully close to his home, after all, and it was always good to know who the neighbors were.

"It'll feel like ice in a month or two," he mused aloud, referring to the river the woman stood in. Mostly, he said it just to make sure she knew he was around - startling strangers wasn't on his list of hobbies, though maybe it would make its way up there if things kept going on the way they had been. Still, the purpose of his words didn't negate their truthfullness. Winter was coming.

"I'm Grayday," he said to the woman, hoping to get a name in turn.
