She didn't move when Amelie approached and hovered over her, though her blue eyes flicked upward. Junior made a groaning noise low in her throat but, for the moment, didn't have the breath to spare for speech.

When she finally caught her wind somewhat, Osprey Jr. simply declared, "Jun-yaw dead-uh," and closed her eyes. She was all played out and didn't want to move. And if Amelie didn't pester her, she would probably fall asleep right where she'd fallen.
