Heron Lake Plateau giving the best of what's left

A free meal did not exist in the wilds. While it may seem free on some level, Ty had been alive long enough to know that there was always a price to pay. When she caught a whiff of meat, she was immediately drawn to it, long black legs propelling her forward toward her intended meal. When she arrived, however, she was not the first one here. Another wolf was feasting on the corpse, but Ty didn't let that stop her from trying.

She inched closer, quietly but within view of the other diner, crouching down so she could defend herself if needed. She was opposite the white wolf when she tugged at a piece of flesh, a low growl rumbling in her throat as she did so.
