With an agreement between the two wolves, Rannoch turned from Kavos towards the direction of the Vale. While moving, he instructed, "Let's go home, Kavos." He was certain that the ghost of a wolf would follow and with this assumption in mind he set off. In due time he would return to the Thunder Dome, but, for now, he felt as though it was his responsibility to get his newly crowned Iota back to the parklands and acclimate him. 

The road home was a tiring one, but, once the sun dipped below the horizon, the duo found themselves within their territory. In this instance, Rannoch pulled his head back so that he could get a better view of his companion.
