Grayday was snoozing in the afternoon sunshine when a familiar smell caused his nose to twitch. His subconscience conjured a faint image of Amber, his first wife, but by the time he blinked open his eyes, time had returned to him, and there was a wide grin on his face. Dawn!
His eldest daughter was home. He'd missed her while she was gone, even though his latest litter had provided plenty of distraction. He worried about her more than anything, lately. Though Sunny was far from him as well, the male was at least reasonably certain he was safe - the boy had turned into quite the homebody.
Feeling giddy and a bit mischievous, Day snuck up on his daughter as she drank. His tail lashed exictedly while he waited for her to finish, not wanting her to choke when he finally -
"Gotcha!" he roared, tackling her from the side and mussing the fur of her cheek with a slobbery lick.
