His confusion over what had taken place - a dream? - was lost as soon as he took note of Damien behind him (by a chance glimpse from his periphery). Euron spun around with a deftness that was beyond his age, and he briefly fixed the shadowy wolf with narrowed eyes. But his tail was waving to suggest there was nothing serious about his glare — and there was not. Damien was a good thing. He was a bringer of meats and he was warmth and he was [good] attention.

Nonetheless, Euron was a budding sneak who wanted to do the sneaking and not be the one getting caught by someone else's sneaking. Eyes on the dark wolf, he slowly backed away with an impish crook in his mouth. "Sssstt," he sort of said, raising a paw to indicate what he could only half say. Stay. Then he turned and bounded away a few wolf lengths, before glancing back to check if Damien was indeed staying where he was.
