Ceara was much better off beneath the summer sun than many of those in the Teekons — sure, she'd be cursing her sleek coat once winter came, but it was far enough off that she was comfortably smug.
She'd been putting herself to work since she'd arrived at the Plateau and today would be no different. The sky was clear, the sun was out, and her paws would carry her wherever she needed to go.
Today, that was the Watering Hole. She hadn't been that far South yet, but she was glad she came. The Basin's gentle rolling slopes came down from the Plateau, allowing her miles of visibility. The water was fresh and clear and large game was abundant. Although she dared not to test them alone she was sure if she brought a toon down with her the group would be able to return to the Redhawk Clan and fill their caches, easy.
She followed the edge of the water and made to bathe herself in the freshwater. The wind shifted and allowed her to catch the scent of the stranger. The firebrand caught sight of him and allowed her gaze to trail over him, but did not make to draw attention to herself. Her blazing red pelt was probably enough of a beacon that she didn't need to anyway.
