Her laugh was something he wanted to hear always. It made him feel alive, and he couldn't stop the low, deep laugh the escaped his chest in response. 

Following her sweet affection, he felt a soft nip at his shoulder and when he turned his head to look at her, she was gone. She had quickly moved away from him. He thought he had hurt her in some way, but when he heard the playful tone of her yip, his worry melted away and was replaced with delight. She wanted to play with him.

Kavik bent his front half to the ground in a playful bow and gave her an impish smile. "I'll give you a head start pretty wolf," he said, a devilish tone to his voice. He hadn't played with anyone in quite some time and was looking forward chasing and catching her. Maybe he would get to hear her laugh again. The thought caused anticipation to flow through his veins as he waited to see what she would do next.
