Dramatic and childish, she was blind to the possibilities the future could have for her. Instead she was focused on the now. It was the sun hanging low in the horizon, the light limned the fine strands of Raven's fur. It was the tenderness in the sweep of her paw, the quiet of her voice.
Softly, broken, she croaked,
I love you,and even though it was more than that, it was all-encompassing... Raven could never know.
