Although she'd chosen him, she'd made that decision - Alya still couldn't help but put @Nikai through one last test. Oh, she knew that she'd put him through enough, but she had to be sure that he could match her, step for step. It didn't have to be perfect (she had long since given up on this) but it had to be possible. So she'd taken him toward Easthollow on the Sawtooth route, and had scaled the cliffs alongside him, steering only as she allowed the male to set their pace.

When they reached a flat ridge, she slowed to a stop, weary in her own right of all the climbing and walking.
