Although the description was rather apt for her mother, Alya didn't really think of her father in those terms - except that she couldn't really argue against it. "They were always willing to talk and show emotion when we needed it," she offered with a wag of her tail, not minding that Nikai had gotten that impression, but wanting him to know that they'd been good parents to her as well. "But you didn't see the best of them. They have a lot on their minds. My brother, Revui, has gone missing. They're all worried."
Alya was, too. But Revui was a strong boy, and she doubted he was in any danger they could pull him out of. If he couldn't get out of it himself, he was dead. And if he was alive, Alya imagined he was where he wanted to be.
"I think he just has the same wandering soul that I do," she said after a moment - something she hadn't been prepared to say to her family. It seemed insensitive to suggest they stop looking when they all missed him so much, but that was just the way things went. Floki went missing. Korei went missing. Countless others had come and gone as well. Sometimes you found them, and sometimes you didn't. It was rarely decided by whether or not someone had looked.
