Phex laughed softly with him, knowing it was certainly a pitiful attempt. She didn't care though, it was good to see him happy. "Of course I like you. If I didn't I would...uh..." Phex found it hard to not like anyone, in all honesty. So to hide her embarrassment, she quickly changed the subject, "It must've come from something really big, I found it on a beach. I wonder how big the animals in the ocean are." 
She looked up at him after inspecting the tooth again, a soft grin on her face. 

She admired him, the way his ears pointed, the way he held himself. That grin that reached his eyes as he regarded her. Handsome.
She snorted to herself for, as much as she liked everyone, she'd never had a crush.
"Only the guys I especially like, Laroche." She replied in the same, flirtatious tone he'd used with her, her eyes gleaming with happiness. 
She was glad that he liked her gift, she'd probably bury herself if he didn't.
