Evermore. Her name sounded like a promise, a promise of something endearing and fulfilling, that would last forever; Thresher liked it. "Beauty-ful name," She said, speaking softly but earnestly. She often shied away from using proper grammar, as she felt she could convey herself perfectly well without using full sentences, the way her mother did. There was something so innocent and endearing about the way Coelacanth spoke, and so poetic as well- so Thresher ofted imitated her speech patterns. But halfway through complimenting Evermore as having "Beauty name" as she would have normally spoken, she reminded herself to be more formal with strangers. She had the full capacity of speaking properly...But it was so easy to fall into a succinct, albeit disjunct way of speaking.

Thresher hadn't exactly noticed that she hadn't heard Rokig speak his name. He looked to her, then, and she wondered for a moment if he was wondering if she remembered his name, as it didn't seem that he did- or that he wanted to go by it. She'd been a young child when her parents had met him at the borders, and names hadn't generally been stated at pack meetings unless someone was being singled out. So she didn't remember it; but she felt she might like to give him a name she felt suited him, and that he might like it too.

She wanted something that would suit him- and something that reminded her of the way her parents had named their children. Her own mother's name was derived from a fish name, and Thresher, Koi, Sixgill and Grayling were all named after fish. Him, however- he was majestic, gentle, and intelligent. He'd welcomed her company so readily, that she imagined him more as a sea creature that tended to live with a family. There were a few whale-related names that came to mind, but she decided he ought to be something that came nearer to the shore, and found something that might suit him.

"Ceph...Cephaloryn," She said, looking up at him hopefully. "Is..small, friendly dolphin," She explained, for the benefit of both other wolves present. The genus, cephalorhynchus, consisted of four different types of dolphins, small and blunt-nosed, and mainly greyscale in colour (aside from the Commerson's dolphin which was a flashier patterned creature of black and white). "Ceph," She said again, hoping that it would suffice as a nickname.
