lol ok!! would you prefer we do dice rolling, or just play it out and see where it goes? I am also ok with dasher getting some scars or serious wounds :D

he was less surprised than one would expect as the boy's tone changed, threatening him with a bold run at the man. oh, he had lived this many times! this story was too predictable. if the boy was smart he would call for reinforcement before dasher maimed him, but it seemed the kid thought he could take on the elk alone. how unfortunate to kill such a young beast- but if this one was too dumb to be careful, well, then- survival of the fittest. 

dasher was not one to run. he did not see himself as a typical prey animal- he would hold his own with the predators, he would slaughter them. could he still call himself prey? therefore he intended to calculate the beast's leap, hoping to meet him with pointed antlers to catch him and use a swing of his head to throw the creature roughly to the ground.
