He doesn't notice how untethered she becomes again, and of course he has no clue the contents of the whirling thoughts in her mind.  It is casually, almost lazily that he looks at her.  I don't know.  He carries the tension for a moment before he allows a dry, pitiful laugh.  I just came out of the ocean, and you expect me to have the answers?  He smirks, then casts his gaze back at the ground.  Is it appropriate to joke here?  After all their families have done to one another, he isn't so sure.
