Fin nodded gently, her own hopes mirroring those of her mate. She liked to think that all of the children that had left for one reason or another were happy somewhere in the world. She would never truly know for certain, not in most cases. But she could hope and have faith. She had learned to let that be good enough.

"Awh c'mon, grandpa," she teased, tipping her muzzle down so she could smash her crown affectionately into his cheek, "You trying to tell me you don't have a round two in you?"
