Where would she go? Staying anywhere for more than an evening was dangerous, but constantly moving was of equal risk. She would need her energy, should another altercation occur, but knew that falling asleep would put her in a vulnerable position.

Ying's options were limited. She left the brothers behind and walked westward, the coast her ultimate destination. Rest came in quick spurts, rarely longer than an hour, and her path was carefully woven between the foliage. Her plan was to disrupt the path of her scent to the best of her ability, hopefully misguiding any men who followed.
