The plight of the pup was heartbreaking. Of course he had nightmares...waking up beside both parents dead. She still had nightmares of her own childhood and it only softened her to the child's plight.
The Shewolf gives a standoffish reply and although indignant Aphrodite tries her best to remember how tense the situation is for everyone. At least they appeared to agree on one thing- the final decision was, unfortunately, Alsek's.
"I can make some medicine, if you like, to help the bad dreams go away." A simple blend of lavender, Chamomile, and valerian.
his next question left her unable to answer. How do you explain depression to a pup? How do you explain the weight Pele had lost, how she slept all the time, how she cried at night or shrieked with nightmares?
Luckily she didn't have to think up an answer right away, as the next questions came tumbling out.
"Alsek," she murmured, giving him a gentle nuzzle on the shoulder. "Nomatter what you choose, you will always be welcome at Whitebark Stream. "
