The two monsters became locked in battle, Astyanax could barely follow with his infant gaze as he struggled to keep up with the whirlwind of clashing shadows. Their roars were fierce, deafening, and the boy crouched beside his brother as he lowered himself into the dirt as if to hide away from the chaos. Other figures lurked in the background, equally blurry shadows as they stalked round the feuding beasts.

Astyanax blinked once at the onlookers, locking on the particularly bright shock of red for a moment, before glancing to Glaucos in uncertainty.
