There was no need to wander with his family nearby, though his search for his God would be neverending until he was satisfied that the High Elk had chosen a new land. For now, it was a mountain peak that Célnes had guided him to. It was strange to traverse as the young hunter had only ever known the woods. He would much prefer a dense forest than this, but if a mountain were to be their new home Calhoun would not complain...as long as it was the High Elk's choosing.

Célnes song guided him this time, a call for many as another voice twined in. It too was familiar, one of home that he had not encountered since the fire. Cal ensured a hasty arrival with a beat to his tail as he walked, though as he neared he couldn't help but let his face drop at the sight of the bastard's child. It nagged at him that flaw in their family had survived the purge, though if he had to pick Rohesia was the least of his concerns in comparison to others.
