Fin was pretty sure that this was going to be the end of her. In truth, there was plenty of room to either side of the moth for her to slip past with a good foot of space between her and the creature, but she was kept in place by the fear that the moment she tried, the bastard would take to the air and land on her and she was so NOT okay with that. But, if Finley had had the ability to see that she could get out without getting hurt, then she probably would have been able to see that moths were completely harmless and it was ridiculous to be even the tiniest bit afraid of them let alone terrified. And then again, that would suggest that Fin was not a ridiculous character when we all know that she, in fact, was.

In her horror, Fin had failed to hear the footsteps pounding closer and closer, but she did hear it when a voice cried out for her. Her heart leaped into her throat as she recognized it, and with a sob she called back. "Finn!!" she barked, "Finn, kill it kill it kill it kill it kill it!!!" She wriggled helplessly against the wall as though she were about to run to him, but until the moth was dead she wasn't going anywhere.

To her dismay, her movement and Finn's approach caused the moth to take again take flight, which elicited another shriek from the Blackthorn. It wavered gently in the air, floating around near the ceiling, which was a good couple of feet above their heads standing. It bounced against the stone while Finley flattened her body against the ground and dug her claws into the dirt for dear life. "OH MY GOD PLEASE KILL IT PLEASE!!" she shouted again as though she were being mauled by a bear.
