Redsand Canyon Madness

She watched as Nyra circled her. She watched silently, turned her body to face her and when she came toward her War meant to do something - but suddenly it began. The woman’s vision blurred and she did not see Nyra coming, she saw nothing but the fire of a past battle, the blood and the horror she had witness came rolling back and had she not been a wolf she would have been covered in cold sweat. She trembled and fear was visible in her eyes.

Then a clash.

Nyra clashed into her, and War who had lost all sense of where she was for the moment tumbled over like a huge log with Nyra on top and pinching at her side. War felt pulled backward into her own mind and the look of fear was replaced with horror. She would not die here! She refused! She could not see Nyra, but she felt her and she snapped her fangs toward the weight, but snapped nothing but thin air. It hurt. The blood was flowing everywhere and War could see nothing but the war raging on around her, comrades falling to left and right and she began to fear for her life.

She struggled, her legs flailing and with a loud cry she screamed on top of her lungs. “NO!” No - I will not die today. She was able to feel the ground under her with her paws and with a huge adrenaline rush she pushed herself upward. She lifted her body up with Nyra still pinching her side, having no idea what was going on in the mind of her sparing partner. When War stood she swayed under the heavy weight of Nyra.

She lost contact with the real world. She snarled at nothing and snapped her fangs into thin air once again before her amber eyes turned mad. It was obvious she wasn’t seeing the same things as Nyra, she wasn’t quite there and she began panting heavily.

Then it stopped. Everything became clear, lifted like a sudden fog and she could see Nyra once again. She blinked, the stone cold gaze returning. She wasn’t done yet.

The fight was never over.
