In her panic, Fin was able to notice that there seemed to be something off about her saviour--particularly when she felt him hunch down, trembling against her. For a fleeting moment, she thoughts perhaps the silver male was just as terrified of the moth as she was, which was both nice and awful at the same time. Nice because no one had ever before agreed with her on the moths-are-blood-sucking-demons front. Awful because it meant that they were probably both going to die in that cave.

His voice calmed her worries almost immediately as he touched her gently and let her know it would be alright. Finn wasn't afraid of the bug--he was just protecting her, she knew it. A whimper of dismay escaped her as he urged her forward at the crushing realization that he was only going to help her escape; not kill the fucker, but there was no time to argue about his rescue methods for it had begun fluttering around on the ceiling again.

Finley wriggled slowly across the ground, her head ducking below her shoulders to keep herself as far away from the devil bug as possible. She shut her eyes tight against the sound of it bouncing off of the ceiling, trying hard not to imagine its dusty wings scraping against the stone and instead focusing on her movements. Inch by inch, the pair of Fins crept back out into the sunlight.

For a moment, the Blackthorn had no idea she was safely away from the bug so tightly glued together were her eyelids. But as the cool wind tickled her fur, she became aware and peeked at her surroundings. Still trembling beneath her doppleganger, she asked with a shaking voice, "Is it.. is it gone?"
