This animal must be killed.
Alivia stepped forward, ready to volunteer. She stopped in her tracks when her father flipped the animal, which she hadn't been expecting. Its strong rear legs pumped furiously in the air, searching for purchase, and it's eyes were wide with fear.
Alivia's little heart pounded, and she looked up at her father questioningly. "Why's it the best?" Dead was dead, wasn't it? Why was one method of killing considered best?
