It wasn't too long before Liri's hunt suddenly changed. She paused at the introduction of a new sound to her senses. The surprise had her dropping to her belly, flattening herself to the ground with nervous, wide eyes. She turned her head slightly, trying to get a better sense of what the noise was. It was familiar somehow, in a way that began to ease her alarm. Slowly, she began to lift her head to peer through the overgrowth until she spotted it--a wolf, snoring lightly as it napped.
Liri cocked her head, both curious and still wary. She didn't know too many of her packmates, but was quick to assume this certainly must be one of them. She knew they could be trusted. She also knew it was rather rude to wake someone up intentionally while they were resting. But the sound coming from her...
She fought it, but was eventually helpless to resist the whims of her imagination.
The hunt began again. The lioness crept forward, her eyes narrowed with focus and determination. She had abandoned her hunt for the ram, opting now for this newly found prey, sleeping so foolishly in her hunting grounds. She paused once she was near enough to strike, eyeing its dark fur and listening to the rumbling grunts it made. This was no wolf before her anymore, but a boar, wild and fierce, and totally at her mercy.
With a little wriggle of her bum, Liri sprang forward suddenly to dig her teeth into a meaty haunch.
