"No! No! NO!" Thresher barked, but felt helpless. She had been warned of how the disease was incurable, and highly contagious. The wolf that bit and tore did so with a machine-like frenzy, something she'd never seen in a wolf before. A wolf with no mind left to add inhibition. It was terrifying, and Thresher felt helpless, unable to help the other wolf at all, too afraid to intervene and take a bit herself.

It was cowardice, but it was also the right choice. There was nothing she could do for him, but circle the fray and bark, hoping to draw Evermore's attention away from him. Disorientation was a symptom she had been told, so she yelped, yipped and cried as she circled the two, hoping the high-pitched noises would give the male a chance at escape.

"Go! Now! Run- this way!" She said, when she saw Evermore stumble. She bolted, hoping that the male might be able to regain his feet and follow her. As far as she knew, the symptoms did not begin immediately- so in the very least, she could get him away from certain death at the teeth of the rabid wolf...Though his future would likely be incredibly bleak.
