He had heard someone approaching and was dismayed as soon as he saw who the pursuant was. Leonidas caught a ragged inhale and held it in his chest for a moment. No doubt this snake could now see his eyes as she slithered closer, once wide golden saucers now smoldering into slanted rage. The Gods cast their glow momentarily through heavy overcast, showcasing the female's brilliant champagne diadem. It was as if she was wearing a halo, but he knew all too well that this was an angel of death. His own hackles spiked, his golden back piece frayed in utter abhorrence for the wolf before him.

Though the Roman's defenses had been set, he fought valiantly to remain poised. He held his crown as high as his unwavering banner, but the shock of this turn of events had him reeling within. Dysis had survived as well, which meant that he had not won. This bitch had managed to take away whatever comfort he had left by simply being alive and breathing.

The looming creature sneered in amusement, reveling momentarily that he was not the only one suffering in this encounter. Neither of them won, and ties were impermissible in their culture. "Then come to me, virago." Leonidas dipped his torso in a welcoming gesture, a taunt presented almost giddily to his childhood acquaintance. Dysis would hopefully be welcomed by an excruciating embrace of eager, saliva coated fangs. Or so he prayed he might have the opportunity.
