curious from the start, she took all that life had to offer. still, she knew nothing other than her mother, her sisters, and the fire within. she drank heartily and slept heavily. 

it was the quaking chest of @Reverie, lost in her namesake, that stirred her from this milk-induced slumber. one impossibly small paw reached out against mother's foreleg, almost as if to comfort her in spite of the little one's ignorance.
