Whitefish River Blackbird song is over now

set from late march to early june. filler for inactivity.

He'd limped off to places deeper into the plains. This small pocket of a prairie, bordered by a few sloping hills, housed a river. The river had molded the banks to fit shallows. Calahan soon identified those shallows as prime spots for fishing. Fishing wasn't the easiest with his sorely injured leg, but it was his best chance at a meal. 

His leg healed over the months. At first, he was able to put his foot on the ground, and then walk with it, then run. Still, it did cause him an amount of pain.

Whitefish River was quiet enough. It would have been a decent spot for a camp or hideout. However, there was no use thinking about that any longer. That time was passed, for now.
