The butterflies in her stomach began to settle as she watched him and became quite distracted by his antics. He paced back and forth outside of the den as though tormented by some unseen figure. It was very odd, and also very endearing. She found herself smiling despite herself, a soft laugh coming free as he spoke finally.

Fin glanced over at Blue's sleeping form nestled beside her before gritting her teeth and dragging herself up onto all fours. She crept out of the den, wincing with each step, but determined. She stepped out into the cool evening air and turned to face him with a little quirk of her brow. "Brilliant deduction skills you have there," she quipped with a slight smirk. There was pain clearly in her eyes, but she pushed it aside, it somehow shifting easily to make way for her olive-eyed stunt double.
