yellowstone camp was not far from moontide camp. and when akmaaksi was not helping her grandmother and sisters and cousins among the moonglow wolves, she was with her newfound companion in the yellowstone borders.

quietly firegirl flattened herself in the tall grass to watch the other young wolf. her step was confident; like all the moontide wolves, it was clear the stranger knew she belonged there. 

at last akmaaksi was curious; she lifted from the field and approached on shy feet, quiet with ears cupped forward. where was she going?
