The trip the the coast had been long, but Leto was glad it had been down.
Now after months of travel she returned to the pass, unaware of events and unwilling to learn. Her legs ached and her stomach demanded a meal - she wished to settle back down.
Her travels had the benefit of keeping her exercised and well fed - hunting was much easier in her usual environments. Her muscle had grown more defined, her fur revitalized. She felt beautiful, like she had become herself again.
At times she wondered why she returned to the pass; she doubted that she would be stopped if she left, though she had never tried. But the answer was obvious; it kept her interested. It was not the green, or the men (maybe just a bit), but the action. She felt as though she could never relax.
There was something satisfying about the way she had to look over her shoulder.
