Dutch came and went, and Raiyuk paced. He didn't know this was one of the weald's children, or what had brought them out here to a place of much death. He peered upon the reunion a moment before casting his attention back the way he had come, where he knew the dead sat.
There was another scent, one of the mountains and hills, which he only noticed now as it was fading. Was that the perpetrator - here to finish the job, or revisit the scene?
He would return to figure out this puzzle. For now, what mattered was that Dutch and the girl return home safely.
