John had been so drowned in his grief, now curled up in the sand, the sobs rolling from his chest like waves. 

The ocean’s breath blew over him, rustling his fur as if it were a mother stroking the head of her child. It was also the wind, which brought a voice to his ears. The voice broke through his grief stricken daze, enough to bring his attention, brining his head up and shifting to look behind him.

Like an angel, this wolf stood upon a hill of sea grass, the sun shining from behind. Through squinted, damp eyes he looked, and his heart skipped a beat, his expression left awestruck. 

“Adah…!” He cried, as if in disbelief. He now stood on shaking limbs, unsteady but longing to be embraced by the love of his sister.
