"Aye," his words crooned low, cutting above the roar of the waves as he slunk onwards a few paces. Gulls shrieked above, circling the cliffs as they made their roost. To their right sprawled a tangle of thick brush and trees, swallowing a river that cut through the headlands before it disappeared into the forest.

Fur tussled in the wind, he tilted his head back to address the girl. "Whaddaya say, we stick to the trees and hope the river hides ye noisy bastards?" A laugh then, seeking her thoughts on the matter.

"That bitch won't know what's comin'."
