crowell explodes from the treeline, yelping and cursing, fur bristling like a porcupine.
he barrels toward the river and hurls himself in with a massive splash. cold water surges around him, and he immediately submerges, muffling his furious yelling.
surfacing with a gasp, his eyes are wild, water streaming from his fur.
crowell thrashes and shivers, his tail flicking angrily through the water. he spits out a stream of curses between choking breaths, completely ignorant to the man who’d just been trying to enjoy his meal.
