Moonspear tsunami

Pie nibbled at a persistent and slightly painful itch on her right hip, where she could feel a small lump forming. She wondered what had bitten her, though Glaukos’s command cut into her thoughts. She righted her head, yellow eyes settling on his face as she nodded.

She strode to the edge of the clearing, then began to walk around its perimeter. Her pace quickly increased to a trot, then a lope and, finally, a gallop. Her hip twinged a little bit, though Tiuttuk focused mostly on the placement of her feet and the increasingly harsh breaths tearing from her chest.
