The wolf seemed to not even know he was there. And that was okay. Dangerous, but okay. Sven helped where he could and when he was absolutely certain she would be able to take it down herself. He removed himself from the situation.
He wasn't about to lose a limb or gain new scars, because she wasn't paying attention and thought he was attacking her kill. No. That was not something he longed for. So he began to turn away and walk from the carnage. Perhaps he could catch a rabbit or bird. If she did happen to finally look up, all she would find was a tail flick as he disappeared into the underbrush.
