Ouroboros Spine mother

Raindrop said nothing, and for a moment he was worried before she pulled him into a hug. He hadn't know just how much he needed it until now.

Hiding his face in her fur, muffled sobs sounded out into the silent night. Not even the crickets chirped, as though they were mourning too.

I'm sorry Raindrop.. he cried, unable to look her in the eye. You've been really good to me, I'm sorry.

The world had taken Pala away, and gifted him Raindrop. He was beginning to understand now, that Raindrop was not a replacement for the mother he lost. She could be a mother to him without needing to give up Pala entirely.

It would all be a part of him, the before and the now.
