Ludovic felt his skin grow hot at Beau's comment. Unlike Valiant, he did worry how he looked in comparison to his adoptive family. His mother's doggish blood ran hot in his veins despite being the minority, and like her his features had grown into it. Some part of him was ashamed of that.

He chose to focus on the task at hand, joining Valiant in sniffing out their prey. It was good practice for his first hunt outside of Moonglow territory, and he would much rather think about that.
