Moonspear the glitches

When Kira explained that Kindle had only recently invited her here, a peculiar feeling speared through Tiuttuk. Her ears folded backward for half a heartbeat before she rearranged them. Careful to maintain a friendly expression, something churned in the pit of her belly as heat prickled between her slim shoulder blades.

It certainly had the makings of a great pack, though Pie had to wonder, What do you know of Dawnspear so far? She paused, then added in a slightly softer voice, What took you away from your last home?

Chances were, some sort of tragedy had struck Kira. That seemed to be the way of the world, although Pie reminded herself that sometimes wolves simply dispersed. For Kira’s sake, she hoped that was all there was to it. She waited to hear in expectant silence, yellow eyes subtly appraising the other woman in a new light.
