Angel was not sure if it was a quirk of his speech or some deeper, cultural disregard, but her eyes narrowed as Elowyn was called a thing. She would assume it was a compliment until she knew better, but her tone was still assertive when she answered,

"Exceedingly."

The other girl was under her protection, and she would not hear any disrespect or, little gods save them, disparaging about her friend.

But a compliment worked well to soothe her watchfulness into candor.

"Oh, you should see the pelts from the women in my village," she replied, waving this away. She was pleased enough, and proud of what she'd accomplished, but flustered enough that it felt better to demure.

Still, "I can teach you, if you like," she offered. Sega could do it just as well — but she thought this would be a good skill to hone and capitalize on. After all, the moonwoman herself had been excellent with pelts, and Angel held almost as much respect for her as for her own mother.

"It's women's work, where I'm from," she teased him, wondering what he would make of that.
