With the lowered frame and tucked tail, came the averted gems he held on his face, instead choosing to keep the gaze on her dainty little toes.

He was surprised he had spoken as much as he did, but it's not like you can get into a pack with silence, alone. A conversation needed to be had. Requirements needed to be met. And just to make sure he had a chance, he was willing to talk.
