I hope it's cool to post randomly with this goober so I can get three posts. :D

With rich, delicious sustenance flowing directly into her mouth and warm bodies pressed near on all sides, Wildfire wanted for nothing. She occasionally kneaded her mother's belly, though otherwise she lay motionless as she nursed. She began to drift, her suckling slowing and then stopping.

Before she could even unlatch, something hot, heavy and wet touched her head. The reddish brown pup gave a startled jerk, spat out the teat and unleashed a disgruntled cry. She rolled onto her side and began to kick her limbs in protest. The predecessor of a snarl bubbled out of her little throat, sounding as harmless as the buzz of a fly.
